Now, it’s hard to capture through photos the enormity.

It’s hard to communicate to those who’ve never seen Grand Canyon just how massive it is.

It’s especially hard to communicate the emotions you feel for seeing it the first time – and they are good emotions.

1 mile deep x 10 miles wide x 277 miles long equals a volume of 2,770 cubic miles of canyon. But numbers can’t imbue the emotions either.

You just have to see it – but where that woman is in the bottom right? No.

Of course, what is foolish to do at Grand Canyon is relative.
