Looking northward up Oak Creek Canyon from North Wilson Mountain. The San Francisco Peaks are in the far horizon.

Wilson Mountain, in my opinion, overwhelmingly provides the best views in the Sedona area. The whole walk atop is like Disneyland. All views are stunning.

I’ve been up that trail I don’t know how many times. However, I only went to this north-point view like twice. It’s 3.5 hours just to get there. Then you gotta’ turn around.

It would be something to camp there for several days and take literally 5,000 photos at all time of day. However, water would be an issue. I’d need a mule to haul enough water for myself.

Of course, in monsoon season you could filter water from pools. However, it would be monsoon season. It would be thunderstorm season. On top of a mountain during a thunderstorm I don’t relish.

There would be water in winter, from snow. But then it would be cold, cold, cold at 7000′.

There’s always the future..
