From Charles Torello Photography on Facebook…

Nevada Falls from John Muir Trail. Yosemite National Park. 11th of June 2019.

This day in California was glorious.

I thought getting into the park would be difficult. It wasn’t.

I thought traffic inside the park would be miserable. It wasn’t.

I thought parking at Curry Village would be difficult. It wasn’t.

Everything worked out perfectly.

The morning was cool. The spray along the Mist Trail was invigorating. The trails weren’t congested.

The view from the top of Vernal and Nevada Falls, truly, truly, were mixed with emotions from other life circumstances that, with all sincerity, made this day one of the very happiest of my life. No exaggeration.

Life was almost perfect this day.

Then I walked a little further along and got this view. I’m not saying this photo is amazing. I see flaws. But I do wish to see this view at least one more time… and maybe more.

Regardless, I’m glad I saw it this day.

And to those who are curious… this is a big fall of the Merced River coming out of the Yosemite high country. The river is born from snowmelt. In the higher elevations on this day, there was still much snow above 10,000′.
