In the last post I said I would start addressing the growing insanity of the liberal ideology. And let me start this off in my own way…

The cornerstone of Western Civilization is Christianity. The Bible was the foundation of morality. It was the foundation of how we understood the world, from the Garden, to the Flood, to the Resurrection.

Even if you reject Christianity wholeheartedly, I think you’d have a hard time convincing me that its values did not permeate the West. They certainly did. The Bible implored us to live by morals found throughout the Old and New Testaments. It also described our genesis, our creation.

Genesis 1:26 says:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

The word “image” in this verse is self-explanatory. “Likeness” I believe refers to the rational-creative powers of the mind we as men and women possess. These powers have changed the face of the earth like no other living thing possibly could. We are far different beings than mere animals, and that is why the last part of Genesis 1:26 says mankind has dominion over all other living things.

Of course in Genesis 1:27, God said “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

Then Genesis 1:28 says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth and [to reiterate mankind’s dominion over the earth, and his obvious distinction from animals] and subdue it…”

Now, it does not take a rocket scientist to understand that “multiply” refers to reproduction through sex. It also does not take a rocket scientist to understand he designed sex organs of males and females to “work together” to accomplish this end. Thus, God designed our bodies in a certain way to fulfill his intended purposes.

The Bible is also very clear that God did NOT intend men to copulate with men, and women with women. “Abomination” is a word used in the Bible to describe homosexual acts.

And of course modern liberalism excoriates those who say such things. It considers those who hold the Christian conception of sexuality as homophobic and other epithets. It considers homosexuality to be as normal a behavior as heterosexuality.

Now, I am Christian. I regard homosexuality as sinful. But that is not to say my heart is filled with hatred towards those who engage in this behavior. Not at all. I also reject that one is “homophobic” for holding fast to the Christian view of sexuality. Google’s definition of phobia is “an extreme or irrational fear of, or aversion to, something,” like having a phobia of spiders, or darkness, or open spaces. My convictions are not based on irrational fear. “Homophobic” has largely become a mere slur.

And even if I weren’t Christian, I wouldn’t regard homosexuality as normal at all. The sex organs of men and women are designed for each other. They work together for procreation. Only heterosexuality can procreate. Homosexuality cannot. Thus, heterosexuality is normal, that is, heterosexuality functions according to how our physical bodies are designed.

As Mark Dice says in his chapter The Gay Agenda:

“…to claim that homosexuality is “normal” would be saying it’s “normal” to ride a bike by sitting on the handlebars. Some people do, but that doesn’t mean it’s normal. That’s not how a bike was designed to be used. Sure it can be use that way, but that is a perversion, which by definition means using something in an abnormal or unnatural way.” (1)

As I see it, however, if our bodies were not designed, that is, if a creative intelligence did not create them to function a certain way, because there is no creative intelligence – no God – in the first place, there can’t be any standard to determine what is normal. All is normal. All is abnormal. Nothing is by design. That the bodies of men and women evolved to possess the sex organs they have for procreation was an entirely random – or Darwinian evolutionary – process. Therefore there are no moral principles governing the use of our bodies. Homosexuality and heterosexuality are just as moral.

I believe this atheistic view is in the hearts of many of those who call themselves liberals. Not all, but a lot. And even if one professes himself to believe in God, or even profess himself as Christian, I do believe this view packaged as Darwinian Evolutionary theory has percolated all aspects of schooling to a point that it unequivocally undermines a Christian perspective of our bodies and the universe (which I believe was an intention of promulgating Darwin from the beginning). If we are mere evolved slime, the Story of Genesis is just a fable, and therefore morals flowing from Genesis are not authoritative.

But, whatever you believe, the simple fact is that acceptance of homosexuality as moral is one heckuva break from Christian morals that most of the West held fast to for over a thousand years. And, I say, this acceptance has opened the door for accepting as normal a multitude of other behaviors that are literally INSANE.

Now, I am explicitly stating I do not believe those who profess homosexuality as normal or moral as insane. Not at all. I believe they are wrong, but I would not be so stupid as to think they have lost normal cognitive functions.

But, again, if we are mere evolved slime, if we became what we are through random processes of nature, without divine intervention, then who is to say what we really are, and especially what we can be called? Ultimately, it would be up to the individual. And, nowadays, it seems the individual can say he or she or zhe or they is whatever they wish to be, in one moment, and something else in the next.

Can men and women be trans-species? Did you know that some people have embraced the notion that they can be a dog or cat or bat? Well, should those views be respected? Should we force ourselves to accept how those embracing trans-speciesm view themselves? Are we bad if we say these people are insane?

What about trans-racial? Can a white woman turn black? Yes, she can call herself black; she can apply chemicals to her skin and hair to darken them; she can wear contact lenses to make her blue eyes look brown; she can do other imaginative things, and tell you to call her black. But is she? And are you a bad person if you think she’s not?

Look, I’m not saying go out and disrespect people. If I were to meet a woman who calls herself a cat, or just meowed to communicate, I’d distance myself out of that situation ASAP. If I were to meet a white woman who insisted she was black, well, I’ve not met one like this. And such people are so few in number to a point where I don’t think I ever will meet one. But still. All this begs interesting questions.

Can people be whatever they say they are? Are they that thing? That person? That race? That gender?

This is where we get to insanity. And I’ll dive deeper into this in the next and final post.
