8 miles up 2292′ before returning to parking lot. Felt good. Still got it (though I don’t wake up in the morning and arbitrarily decide to walk 20 miles like I truly did once upon a time).

Frankly, I felt great. No loud expletives, even though a time or two I wanted to.

Anyways, finding campsites at Glacier NP requires incessantly checking recreation.gov to see if a site has miraculously opened up. This has been a good system for me so far. Dispersed camping’s hard.

However, I was able to find 4 nights on the east side of the park, tonight being one, and I might be looking for more into next week. I will also finally check out how difficult it is to stay on the Blackfeet Rez.

As I said earlier, the whole experience with finding parking spots and camping spaces, coupled with the amount of people on the trails, can be an aggravating experience.

But Glacier is awesome. It’s all about the photography for me, and with all the aggravations, so long as I can get a clean shot of Mother Nature, I’m good.

I promise I have a bazillion photos. Haven’t shared anything because it takes time to process, and so much of my time is scrambling in the form of driving, walking and sleeping.

But my photos will be shared. And there are some ones that make me very happy.

Ultimately, this part of Montana is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in all my life, and I do not want to rush back to Arizona to feed a cat who misses me. God will provide for Pumpkin.

God has provided for me here. My goodness, I will have to search for the right words in articulating what these mountains are like.

Majestic, like our Heavenly Father…
